Description
A Stangl Pottery, New Jersey, USA, stacking cup and saucer in Apple Delight pattern. Hand painted dinnerware in a red body. Apple Delight was designed by Kay Hackett and introduced in 1965. Cup is hand painted with a red and yellow apple and green foliage, different design on rear of cup: leaves only. Saucer with border that is carved and then painted dark green. Stangl discontinued use of a red body in October 1974. Stacking cups were introduced later on in the line, so it is possible the cup is from the mid 1970s and the saucer is earlier. No cracks or chips. Cup has tiny glazing bubbles on bottom of interior and a couple tiny paint specks in same area. Saucer has crazing. See photos. Cup measures approx. 3" tall x 3.5" wide at widest x 4.5" long. Saucer measures approx. 6.5" in diameter. Cup holds 6 fluid ounces.I refund shipping overages on multiple items charged calculated shipping to the same address.
