Beautiful Tiger Birch M 1 A Springfield USGI Stock, Hand guard and all Metal

Description

This is a very clean USGI birch stock, very tight grain, has a nice golden color to it as it took oil very well, strong proof mark. The forearm features a light tiger stripe pattern to it, very minimal signs of use. I never really know what I’m getting into with these as they all look like black licorice from all the grime when I get started. I range these from fair, good, very good and excellent. With the character of the grain and overall shape, I would put this at excellent.
There is no polyurethane on this stock, just hand rubbed oil. I have been redoing GI stocks for around the last 15 years. The pieces I refinish take around a few weeks to complete, not a turn and burn off a surplus site. Topping off with a dummy selector would look great. USGI Hand guard and all metal included!
