This toy cap gun pistol, lovingly referred to as the Little Tom, is an eight (8) shot ring cap toy cap gun.  It is a solid metal cap gun with a bright orange permanent tip for safety.  The overall length is 8 inches.  Load the caps by pressing the release button on the frame.  The grips are black.  This is a metal toy. Not plastic.
The real Little Tom is a semi-automatic pistol designed by Alois Tomischka from Czechoslovakia. It is considered as the first double action only semi-automatic pistol, produced until 1925 and 45,000 were made. Its strange feature was the top-loading magazine which could be inserted and released from the top.
