Description
This is a set of 5 recoil shock buffers for your Ruger 10/22, SR-22 or Charger. Unaffected by cleaners and lubes. Easy to install and takes just a few minutes. Made in the U.S.A from U.S.A. manufactured materials, with a lifetime warranty just like everything else we sell. The last picture is the buffer in my 10/22 after more than 700 rounds. It looked fine and I didn't even bother to change it.Since you might have more than one 10/22, or maybe you know someone else with one, we figure we might as well sell these in packs of 5. Now you can have gifts for your shooting buddies and a spare or two for yourself.
I don't think these will ever wear out under normal use – mine hasn't – but nothing lasts forever and even if one ever does, you now have spares. And if you somehow do manage to break any, they are inexpensive and even have a lifetime warranty. You really can't go wrong, so you might as well buy from someone you can trust to tell you the truth and sell quality products.
Pack of 5 for .99, includes shipping.
You could pay a lot more somewhere else for the same thing, but why? Don't get psyched out by hype and nonsense about proprietary laboratory formulations cooked up specifically for the Ruger 10/22. Give me a break. This isn't rocket surgery, it's just a bolt buffer. I have one of these buffers in my 35+ year old 10/22 and it works great. It will work great for you, too. Guaranteed.
If you are looking at this product, you probably already know the advantages of using one in place of the original, steel pin. If you don't know, the main reason to install one is to quiet down the clanking of the bolt as it slaps back and forth. This is especially nice if you are using a suppressor and the noise of the bolt slapping around is louder than the report from the muzzle. In my opinion, another top reason to install this pin is to reduce the repeated shock and abuse that your scope has to take from the constant impacts of the bolt on the original steel bolt-stop pin in the receiver.
A buffer MIGHT also help with your follow up shots due to softened recoil. It MIGHT prevent stress cracking around the holes in the receiver from thousands of impacts upon the original pin by the bolt. If you want to use high velocity ammo, a buffer is a cheap way to reduce the extra battering the receiver has to withstand (and your expensive scope). If you use sub-sonic ammo, your gun will be a even quieter with the buffer. The only benefit I can personally vouch for is the noise reduction on my old 1970-something 10/22. That gun has had many, many thousands of bulk-pack rounds through it and the original holes and pin in the receiver are just fine. But then again, I don't know if the new ones are made as well as the old ones were. Anyway, it's definitely quieter and smoother now with the buffer. There may be other benefits, and overall it's cheap insurance against all the metal to metal pounding.
