Solid Birch M 1 A Springfield USGI Stock, Hand guard and all Metal

This is solid USGI birch stock, very tight grain, I never really know what I’m getting into with these as they all look like black licorice from all the grime when I get started. I range these from fair, good, very good and excellent. I call these types my “nothing fancy” stocks. They are functionally sound but don’t feature the highly desirable characteristics or stripes. This is one of the more narrower ones I have seen, however it will still work fine. I would rate this at good.
There is no polyurethane on this stock, just hand rubbed oil. I have been redoing GI stocks for around the last 15 years. The pieces I refinish take around a few weeks to complete, not a turn and burn off a surplus site. Topping off with a dummy selector would look great. USGI Hand guard and all metal included!
