This genuine and original vintage early 1970's Rolex GMT 1675 fat font bezel insert, which presents beautifully, has aged naturally to a faded Yale blue and pink salmon hue.  It is free of bending.
Vintage inserts are fragile.  Regardless of how good you think you may be at popping out and snapping in inserts, I've seen countless vintage inserts cracked and chipped at the hands of even the most skilled watchmakers.  Even NOS vintage inserts can have unseen integrity issues given storage, handling and environmental conditions over several decades.  While not foul proof, it's always advisable to have a skilled watchmaker handle the removal and placement of your vintage insert to lower the probability of something going wrong.  Additionally, inserts and bezels that weren't born together likely won't fit together seamlessly given decades of wear to each.  While an insert should fit snug into a bezel, often times an adhesive is needed to keep it securely in place.
